A white Toyota Tacoma

The 2025 Toyota Tacoma is a versatile midsize truck with rugged performance and configurations for all needs and budgets. From powerful powertrain options to a comfortable interior and modern tech features, this truck has it all.

2025 Toyota Tacoma Performance

Toyota’s midsize truck is a versatile vehicle built for heavy work and even heavier play. Under its hood is an i-FORCE 2.4L turbocharged inline-4 engine with a standard power output of 228 horsepower and 243 pound-feet of torque. In all trims except for the base, this engine generates 278 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque, which is more than enough for towing up to 6,500 pounds.

Rear-wheel is standard and pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission that provides smooth shifting performance. On select trims, you can opt for a six-speed manual transmission that adds more engagement to your rides. A part-time four-wheel drive system is also available across the lineup, allowing you to optimize the truck for off-roading.

Cab and Bed Options

Customization options also include various cabs and beds. An XtraCab with a two-seat capacity is a great choice for work, and also if you’re a lone explorer and don’t really need a huge cab. For bigger crews, groups, and families, you can opt for the Double Cab that has a five-seat capacity with ample lounge spaces in both rows.

Depending on the cab, you can also choose between a five-foot or a six-foot bed. Paired with the shorter bed, the Double Cab offers the best balance between passenger space, cargo volume, and maneuverability. If you don’t mind a longer wheelbase, the Double Cab can be had with a six-foot bed on select trim levels.

Comfort and Convenience Features

While both cab options boast comfortable interiors, each type comes with unique convenience features. The XtraCab offers manually adjustable front seats with lumbar support adjustments on the driver’s side and a fold-flat passenger seat that allows you to create a convenient cargo area when needed.

The Double Cab also has manually adjustable front seats with driver’s side lumbar support. A 60/40 split-folding rear seat with under- and behind-seat storage boosts convenience, providing you with plenty of space for your purse and daily items, as well as ample storage for tools and other essentials. In-bed convenience features include a deck rail system with adjustable tie-down cleats and LED bed lighting.

Infotainment and Driver Assistance

Each trim level and cab style comes with a modern infotainment system that brings connectivity features to your fingertips. Smartphone integration and hands-free calls are standard across the lineup, and you can also connect to your truck remotely via an app. Advanced driver assistance features include the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite.
